9 Heat Transfer terms

closed system
It is a system separated from the rest of the environment, closed on itself: the opposite of open systems.
Example: A refrigerator, for example), in which it is not possible for the gas to escape, but it is possible for energy (in the form of heat, usually in the back of the appliance).
es: Sistema cerrado
Conduction
phrase
It is the direct microscopic exchange of the kinetic energy of the particles through the boundary between two systems. When an object is at a different temperature from another body or its environment.
Example: When boiling water, the flame conducts the heat to the container and after a while allows the water to be heated.
es: Conduccion
Conduction
convection
Propagation of heat or other physical magnitude in a fluid medium by differences in density.
Example: Hot air balloons, which are kept in the air by means of hot air. If it cools, the balloon immediately begins to fall.
es: convección
Hot air balloons, which are kept in the air by means of hot air. If it cools, the balloon immediately begins to fall.
Heat Transfer
Phrase
physical phenomenon that consists of the transfer of heat energy from one medium to another.
Example: Pots, pans and in general kitchen utensils made of metal such as steel have handles made of insulating material.
es: Transferencia de calor
Heart Transfer
internal energy
phrase
Energy associated with the random and disordered movement of molecules.
Example: gases comprimidos
es: energía Interna
mass transfer
Occurs when one substance is transferred through another or others at the molecular scale.
Example: A piece of sugar dipped in a cup of coffee dissolves and diffuses, without stirring, into the solution around it.
es: Transferencia de masa
open system
There are no limits or impediments that prevent the free movement of information between inside and outside.
Example: An open container with hot water, which radiates its heat to the colder environment, until a thermodynamic balance occurs between inside and outside the system.
es: sistema abierto
radiation
It is the heat emitted by a body due to its temperature, in a process that lacks contact between the bodies or intermediate fluids that transport the heat.
Example: The transmission of electromagnetic waves through the microwave oven.
es: radiación
The thermal radiation generated by the sun towards the earth, it radiates large amounts of light and heat
undergo
To notice, to see in oneself a thing, an impression, a feeling, etc.
es: Experimentar
